Why meet in person
Photos never fully capture a watch. Trying watches on, talking to makers and trading stories with other collectors is one of the best parts of the hobby.
Big watch fairs
- Watches and Wonders Geneva: the industry's largest annual fair, where many major brands launch new models each spring
- Geneva Watch Days: held in late summer, with many brands presenting new releases
- Windup Watch Fair: a traveling U.S. show focused on microbrands and independents, run by Worn & Wound
- Brand boutiques and retailers often host launch events, so ask to join their mailing lists
Local meetups and clubs
Many cities have watch clubs and regular meetups, from casual coffee-and-watches mornings to dinners where everyone brings their favorites. Groups like RedBar have chapters around the world, and local retailers often know what's happening nearby.
Can't find one? Start one: pick a coffee shop, post the date in the forum, and invite a few collectors.
Online events
Live streams, Instagram Lives, virtual launches and video meetups make it easy to connect from anywhere. Share and find them in the Virtual Events folder of the forum, and follow Brandon for founder interviews and event coverage.
